Our Story
The Chispa Project was founded in 2012 by Sara Burkes Brakhane after witnessing the urgent need for educational resources in a small Honduran school. This initiative focuses on delivering Spanish books to rural schools and establishing school libraries, fostering a culture of reading and learning.
Our Impact
Since its inception, the Chispa Project has delivered over 70,000 books to more than 100 schools, significantly enhancing literacy and educational engagement for 23,858 students.
