Our Story

Founded in 1990 by Dr. and Mrs. Tom Pressly in Shreveport, Louisiana, Children and Arthritis, Inc. was created to support families with children suffering from arthritis and autoimmune diseases. The journey began with a free monthly clinic at Shriner’s Hospital, where the need for additional support beyond medical care became evident. Inspired by Tracy Pressly's experience with a diabetes camp, the organization established Camp Jambalaya Jubilee, a retreat designed for families to find education and community.
