Our Story

Change the World RVA began in December 2011 when two churches donated funds to a Richmond Public School social worker for Christmas gifts for homeless high school students. This initiative blossomed into an after-school program and led to the incorporation as a 501(c)(3) in 2013, dedicated to serving students facing homelessness and housing instability.

Our Impact

Change the World RVA supports high school and college students experiencing homelessness in Richmond, Virginia, providing them with educational support, resources, and a caring community to help them succeed academically and transition to college.
