Since 1980, Challenge Discovery Projects (CDP) has been dedicated to enhancing the social and emotional wellness of youth and their families in Greater Richmond. Through innovative school-based and community programs, CDP addresses critical issues such as behavioral health, substance use, bullying, and trauma. By providing equitable and accessible mental and behavioral health care services at no cost, CDP ensures that every young person, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to thrive.

Making a Lasting Impact

CDP serves approximately 500 clients and program participants annually, empowering them to become active contributors to their communities. The dedicated team of counselors focuses on breaking down barriers to social and emotional skill development, mental health care, and substance use therapy.
