The Carmel River Steelhead Association was established in 1974 to advocate for the restoration and conservation of the federally threatened steelhead fishery on the Carmel River and its watershed. With a commitment to protecting the native steelhead run, CRSA has been at the forefront of habitat improvement and fish rescue efforts.
Our Impact
Each year, CRSA rescues approximately 10,000 young steelhead and volunteers an average of 500 hours to support these vital conservation efforts. This dedication significantly contributes to the health of the steelhead population in the Carmel River.
