Our Story

Founded in 1946 by a dedicated group of Fort Worth physicians, Cancer Care Services was established to address the financial and practical challenges faced by low-income cancer patients. This innovative organization has been a beacon of hope in the community, providing essential services that include hiring the first oncology nurse at John Peter Smith Hospital and opening Tarrant County's first breast and cervical cancer detection clinic.
