Founded in 1984 by Anna and Dr. Larry Gould, Camp Sunshine was inspired by a television program about a summer camp for children with cancer. The pilot family camp welcomed 43 children and their families, laying the foundation for a supportive community. In 2001, a permanent facility was established, allowing Camp Sunshine to expand its reach and serve over 50,000 family members from all 50 states and 27 countries.
Camp Sunshine has provided hope and joy to over 60,000 children and families, offering more than 25 sessions annually and serving up to 750 families each year.
