Our Story
In 2000, after receiving an implantable cardioverter defibrillator, founder Sara Meslow discovered a camp in California dedicated to children with heart disease. Inspired by the profound impact of this camp, she recognized a significant gap in the Midwest. In 2002, with the support of many, Camp Odayin welcomed its first 53 campers from six states, creating a nurturing environment for young heart heroes. Over the years, the camp has grown tremendously, bringing together families from across the nation to form a supportive community.
