Our Story
Peter Kiwanuka, born disabled in 1976, faced immense challenges as an orphan in Uganda. After losing his father to HIV at the age of 14, he witnessed the struggles of his family of ten. In 2001, a scholarship to Louisiana State University opened new doors for Peter. Upon returning to Uganda in 2004, he founded the Bethany Centre in 2005, driven by a vision to uplift his community, particularly orphans and vulnerable children affected by the AIDS epidemic.
