Our Story
The Believe 271 Foundation was founded in March 2014 in response to the diagnosis of firefighter Brian McQueen with occupational cancer. This organization was established to provide financial assistance to volunteer firefighters and ladies auxiliaries in Oneida and Herkimer Counties who are battling life-threatening illnesses. Through educational programs, the foundation raises awareness about the risks of cancer in the fire service.
Our Impact
Since its inception, Believe 271 has gifted over $403,864, providing 119 checks to volunteers in 43 different departments struggling with cancer and life-threatening illnesses. The foundation has reached over 6,000 volunteer firefighters and their families through educational programs about occupational cancer.
Why Donate?
Donations to the Believe 271 Foundation go directly to supporting volunteer firefighters and ladies auxiliary members facing cancer and life-threatening illnesses.
