Beds for Kids

Our Story

In 2010, a group of compassionate individuals, led by Daniel Fogarty, Tim Rowley, and Brandon Holmes, delivered furniture to a family transitioning from a shelter to a home in Charlotte. This experience revealed a pressing need for beds and essential furniture among families in similar situations. Thus, Beds for Kids was born. Officially established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2011, the organization began its journey in a modest 30x10' storage unit, providing 282 beds to families in need. Today, Beds for Kids operates from a spacious 17,000 sqft warehouse, significantly increasing its capacity to serve the community.

Our Impact

Since its inception, Beds for Kids has delivered over 20,000 beds and served 7,000 families, greatly enhancing the living conditions of children and their families in the Charlotte area.
