Our Story

The Allegheny Valley Association of Churches (AVAC) is an ecumenical agency formed by 54 member churches in the Allegheny Valley area. Established in 1958, AVAC has evolved its programs to meet the spiritual, social, and physical needs of the community, demonstrating the love of God through various outreach efforts.
