The Alaska Family Child Care Association (AFCCA) is dedicated to improving early childhood education and resources for childcare providers across Alaska. Founded in 1983 by passionate family child care providers, AFCCA has been a beacon of support and quality in the childcare community. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, AFCCA brings together licensed home childcare providers and early educators to foster a collaborative environment.
Through the USDA Child Care Food Program, family child care providers receive essential reimbursements for meals and snacks, along with training in nutrition and food safety. This initiative not only supports healthy eating but also enhances the overall quality of childcare services.
