In 1999, a dedicated group of citizens in Lancaster County recognized the urgent need to address father absence. With the support of the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina, the Lancaster Fatherhood Project was launched in 2001. By 2002, it had grown into a standalone 501(c)(3) organization, committed to transforming the lives of fathers and their families.
Through father-centered programs, men gain the knowledge and skills necessary to become responsible fathers and co-parents. This initiative not only helps fathers overcome personal obstacles but also fosters positive changes within their families and communities.
